(up to 35 delegates)
This is in-house training – we come to your organisation and deliver to your staff on an agreed date at a venue chosen and arranged by you. All participants will be receive training materials and certificates of attendance.
Aim Assist participants to access a variety of sources to enable them to maintain competency to prescribe.
By the end of the session participants will have an increased understanding of:
• Rational for CPD
• What is expected in terms of CPD
• Where to go to source information
• How to demonstrate competency to prescribe
• General principles for CPD
• Identifying opportunities for CPD
• Using the NPC Single Competency Framework
• Monitoring CPD as part of appraisal
• Keeping up to date with pharmacology
Participants need to bring with them, a reflection on a recent prescribing encounter that they had with a patient. It could be an example of an encounter which they feel did not go well, or resulted in an error, or alternatively it could be an encounter that they felt did go well.
